Project goal
Sports complexes are facilities with increased electricity consumption: lighting of large rooms, operation of ventilation and air conditioning systems, swimming pools, gyms and office premises. The owner of the facility sought to:
- reduce electricity costs;
- reduce dependence on increasing city grid tariffs;
- increase the energy efficiency and environmental attractiveness of the complex;
- make the sports facility more competitive in the commercial real estate market.
Technical solution
174 high-efficiency solar panels with a capacity of 580 W were selected for the project. The panels are characterized by high efficiency and stable operation even in difficult weather conditions.
The key element of the system was a 100 kW inverter, which allows:
- to efficiently convert solar energy into electricity;
- to manage generation in real time;
- to ensure stable operation of the grid system.
An important decision was to integrate the station into the city power grid, which allows using the generated energy for its own needs during the day.
Results
- Expected annual generation: over 120,000 kWh.
- Cost reduction: up to 50% in the summer period due to high insolation.
- Project payback: approximately 1.6 years.
This means that investments in installing a solar power plant will be returned in the shortest possible time, and in the future the facility will receive stable savings and added value.
